DROPS Andes is a 2-thread wool, spun in the traditional combination of 65% "Peruvian Highland" wool and 35% "superfine" alpaca, which gives a silky surface (thanks to the alpaca fibers) and good shape stability (thanks to the wool). The fibers are untreated, meaning that the wool has only been washed and not exposed to chemical treatment prior to dyeing. This brings out the natural properties of the fibers, while giving a better quality of shape and texture.
Very easy to knit with large needles or hooks, and ideal for felting, DROPS Andes is perfect for winter garments and accessories, as well as indoor patterns.
