GENGIS KHAN 3 yarn is made exclusively from yak down from the "Cooperative des Eleveurs des Montagnes du Khangai", an eco-responsible, fair-trade network set up by Fonty in Mongolia with technical support from AVSF (Agronomes et Vétérinaires Sans Frontières). The yaks are combed in spring by Mongolian breeders, and after sorting, just under 100g of down per animal per year is harvested and transformed into yarn by Fonty.
